How we work

Editorial standards

Superior Tips is built by a team with more than 15 years in sports betting. Every forecast starts in our own statistical models, every pick is locked before the game starts, and every result is graded in public. This page sets out the standards behind all of it.

Who writes what

Our specialist desks each cover a fixed scope, and every piece carries the name of the desk it came from.

  • Superior Football Desk

Football previews, the accumulator and bet of the day write-ups, and the editorial on a football match page. Football picks settle on the 90 minute score, so extra time and penalties never move a graded call.

  • Superior Basketball Desk

Basketball explainers, league pieces and the market wording that goes with them. Basketball picks settle on the final score with overtime included, a different rule from football on purpose, so the market you want is the one labelled that way; several betting sites default to a version that stops at the end of the 4 quarters.

  • Superior Results Desk

Grading and everything written around it, from the settled archive to the league studies built on our own match database. This desk owns the record of what won and what lost.

From forecast to page

Every forecast on the site starts in our own models. The match analysis is written from that forecast and checked against the published pick before it goes live, so the text and the pick always agree. Every match page prints the date its pick was tipped and the desk that tipped it.

The team behind it

Superior Tips is run by people who have spent more than 15 years in sports betting, around bookmakers, odds and the leagues we cover. We set the rules the models run under, choose the competitions and markets we publish, and hold every pick to the same standard: it comes straight from the model and is locked before the game starts.

A public record

The graded archive shows settled selections with wins and losses side by side, and every row opens the forecast exactly as it was published.

Corrections

A forecast is never rewritten once it is locked. It is settled against the official result, and that result is the record. The price beside it can still move before kickoff, and everything else on the site can be corrected: where a piece of writing turns out to be factually wrong we change it and say what changed. If you spot an error, the contact page reaches us directly.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links to betting sites pay us a commission when you sign up through them. It has no bearing on which pick the model makes, because the model never sees a partner list. A pass unlocks more of the model's output, and the main pick on every match stays free either way.

Check it yourself

The grading rules are published, the settled archive is public, and every row in it opens the forecast as it was published. How our models read a fixture is set out on the about page.
